Broadcasting Agreements, Virtual Interview, and Editing for the First Taping

“Step 3: Sign agreements, record your interview, and begin editing for the first story taping.”

Once you’ve been selected in the Call Back process, we will begin the next phase of your storytelling journey. This step includes signing the broadcasting agreements, completing the virtual interview, and starting the editing for your first taping.

1. Sign the Broadcasting Agreements for WHFF.TV and WHFF.Radio

Before we proceed with production, we’ll ask you to review and sign the broadcasting agreements for WHFF.TV and WHFF.Radio. These agreements are necessary for:

  • Rights and Consent: Allowing us to broadcast your story on WHFF.TV and WHFF.Radio.
  • Revenue Sharing: Outlining how any ad revenue or viewership earnings will be handled (if applicable).
  • Copyright and Usage: Clarifying the rights for distributing your story on global platforms like Tubi, Roku, and Amazon Video.

We’ll make sure you understand everything before signing. Our team is here to help if you have any questions.

2. Virtual Interview (First Taping)

After signing the agreements, you’ll take part in the virtual interview. This is where we start to capture your story through a pre-recorded interview process.

  • How it Works:
    • You’ll be sent a link to our virtual interview platform (such as VidCruiter, Riverside.fm, etc.).
    • Guided questions will appear on your screen, and you will have the opportunity to record your answers at your own pace.
    • Re-recording is allowed if you want to perfect your responses.
    • There is no live interviewer, which gives you the space to reflect and speak freely.

This allows you to share your experience of family separation, healing, and reconnection in a safe, comfortable environment.

3. Editing for the First Taping

Once you submit your virtual interview, we’ll start the editing process. This is where we refine your story, focusing on:

  • Cutting unnecessary footage.
  • Polishing your responses to ensure clarity and flow.
  • Adding any supporting visuals (images, video clips, etc.) to strengthen the message.

After we’ve completed the first round of editing, we’ll send you a draft for review. If any revisions are needed, we’ll work together to finalize the first taping.
